Red Polished Amphora
Pottery storage jar ('amphora') in Red Polished III ware; handmade; depressed biconical body on a flat narrow base with a wide cylindrical neck indented around the join with the body and an everted rim with an angular profile; pair of opposing handles with slight horns; two raised cable-bars on neck and shoulder of both sides; buff clay covered with a reddish-brown slip burnished to a high lustre; surface worn in places; repair on the handles.
