Description

Many broken stone sculpture fragments lie together in a shallow excavation at Mersinaki: several heads of different sizes, a hand, body pieces and a small animal-shaped figure. A dark earth face forms the back of the cut, and loose soil covers the ground around the pieces. Some fragments are chipped and worn, and a curved ring-like object lies at the lower left.

Description, scan 2
Stone sculpture fragments lie scattered on the floor of an excavated trench, with several heads of different sizes, limbs and body pieces in view. Against the earthen section at the back, a group of small figurine fragments sits among the debris at the top centre, and a small animal-shaped figure stands in the middle left. A curved ring-shaped piece lies at lower left, and no people are working in the frame.
