Description

A long arcaded gallery with a timber-beamed roof runs away from the viewer over a stone-paved walkway. A white railing borders the arcade on the left, beyond which stand stone buildings, a domed church and a bell tower against a hillside. A single figure in dark clothing walks at the far end of the gallery, and sunlight falls in bright bands across the paving.

Description, scan 2
A long covered gallery runs into the distance, its arches resting on pillars and its roof made of wooden beams. The flagstone floor is crossed by strong shadows, and a whitewashed wall with doors and small windows lines the right side. On the left, beyond a wooden railing, a stone building with a dome and bell tower stands against hills, and one man in dark clothing walks far down the gallery.
