Description

Men sit and stand in a whitewashed room at the Christoforos kafenion, Lapithos, with a waiter in an apron holding a tray at centre. A small round table in front holds cups and saucers, and a wooden table at right has bottles and a plate. Printed posters hang on the wall behind them, and a glazed cupboard stands at the back right beside a child.

Description, scan 2: A group of about fourteen men, with one boy at the right edge, sits and stands in a whitewashed café room with a tiled floor. A waiter in a white apron holds a tray with small cups near a table with a bottle, and a seated man reads a newspaper. Framed pictures, printed posters and a glass-fronted cupboard hang or stand along the walls, and a hanging lamp is visible above.
