Description, scan 2
A large excavated area at Soli shows a curved, raised edge of exposed stonework running from the lower left toward the centre. About twenty people, some with picks and shovels, work on the slope, and a line of figures stands along the upper edge of the cutting. Loose stones and rubble fill the foreground at the bottom of the frame.
