    Produced the authorised German version of Cesnola's 'Cyprus: its Ancient Cities, Tombs and Temples' ('Cypern ... autorisirte deutsche Bearbeitung', royal octavo, Jena, 1879 and 1881); Myres notes that the English figure references are the ones given in the text, with a concordance for the German edition.

    Stern's 'Cypern' (with plate numbers) is cited repeatedly by Ohnefalsch-Richter in his 1886 Repertorium article, e.g. for the bronze plate of Dali (Taf. IX), the silver bowl of Amathus (Taf. II) and the crouching boys from Hyle near Kourion (Taf. LXXII, 3), and he refers to Stern's p. 79 ff. on Dali versus Sandwith.
