Life and work
- 1849During Thomas Spratt's 1849 hydrographic survey of Cyprus, recorded numerous inscriptions, mostly alphabetic Greek but several in Cypro-Syllabic script.

- 1849At Kourion copied the Ptolemy Eupator inscription (Mitford no. 39) and a pedestal in the Sanctuary of Apollo (Mitford no. 38 text group), both on large pedestals; the pedestal was later broken up for road-metal c. 1920 (per Mitford).
