White Painted Footed Cup
Pottery footed cup/bowl in White Painted/Bichrome ware; wheel-made; deep body with vertical sides flaring outwards slightly, carinated below; rests on a low foot with a splaying base; pair of opposing loop handles; ridge below the rim. Made of pale buff-pink clay decorated with dark brown-black paint: one on side are stylised trees, vertical snake-like features, and a fringed rectangle infilled with a saltire; on the other, single swastikas separated by a ladder with vertical lines on the outer side; horizontal bands below; the rim is painted red, black paint on the foot, dark bands within the bowl.
