Description:

Pottery barrel-shaped jug in White Painted ware; barrel-shaped body with a nipple-like projection on each end; narrow neck flaring to a trumpet mouth; vertical arching handle from shoulder to neck; buff clay (with small inclusions), similar slip, decorated in matt brown paint: concentric circles around the body and neck, bull's eye motif on each end of the barrel, broad band around the base of the neck, short parallel strokes on handle; surface worn and calcinated in places.
