Description:

Pottery barrel-shaped jug in Bichrome ware; barrel-shaped body; tall cylindrical neck with prominent neck-ridge, flaring to an everted rim; flat handle from shoulder to neck-ridge; buff clay and slip decorated in red and black paint: concentric bands on the neck and body, the latter framing a maltese cross on each end of the barrel, and hatched triangles and lozenges below the neck.
