Truncated Pyramidal Stamp Seal

Description:

Steatite truncated pyramidal stamp seal engraved with a man riding a quadruped; the seal has slightly concave sides and a flat top; pierced for suspension through the upper half of the body. The animal has a spiky mane and very long neck - reminiscent of a camel - rendered with horizontal incised lines. Star-like motif between the rider and the animal's head, with another uncertain motif in the field behind the rider's head.
