White Painted Lekythos

Description:

Small pottery lekythos or juglet in White Painted ware; globular body with flattened sides and rounded base; narrow neck flaring outwards towards the mouth to give a concave profile; buff clay and slip, decorated with brown paint: painted rings on rim, band at base of neck, short parallel bars on handle and four maltese-cross motifs enclosed in concentric circles on the body.
