Description:

Pottery amphoriskos in Bucchero/Black Slip ware; wheel-made; globular-ovoid body on a low conical foot (concave underneath); wide neck tapering inwards towards an angular rim; opposing vertical handles with projection 'horns' or knobs; reddish clay with small white inclusions, fired black: body decorated with irregular vertical flutings, slight ridge at the junction of neck and body; body slightly dented, possibly during firing; one of the handles is cracked.
