Description: | Pottery Base Ring I small jug; hand-made; long cylindrical neck widening to slightly everted rim with flat edge; beaked mouth; vertical strap handle from upper neck to shoulder pierced through body; body squat ovoid with tall flaring ring base; double relief band at handle join on neck; body decorated with hatched relief band at neck join and hatched antithetic relief spirals joining opposite handle with incised chevrons; surface orange-brown lustrous; clay brown at outer face with thick grey core.
