Description

A carved limestone head with a wide cap, a rounded crown and a broad brim, and a row of small rounded curls across the forehead. The eyes are narrow and almond-shaped under straight brows, the nose is long, and the small mouth is closed in a slight smile. The lower face narrows to a plain base resting on a block against a black background, and the grey surface is pitted and worn.
