Glyptic (i.1323)

Engraved stone seal with rounded corners, showing carved figures in relief, photographed close up. — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C06023c. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A rectangular seal with rounded corners fills most of the frame, its surface carved with raised and recessed figures and lines. A dark curved stroke, perhaps a pencil or brush mark on the mount, runs down the right edge. The photograph is soft and grey, so the fine detail of the carving is hard to make out.
