Glyptic (i.1520)

Oval scarab with straight incised lines and a dark diagonal groove across its face — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C06021a. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A close view of a single oval object with a rounded, slightly flattened outline, shown against a grey backdrop. Its flat face is cut with straight incised lines that divide it into several sections, and a dark diagonal groove runs from upper left to lower right. The upper end looks pitted and worn, while the lower half is smooth and evenly lit.
