Glyptic (i.1413)

Oval scarab-shaped seal from Idalion, dark and worn, with a perforation near the top edge. — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C05925m. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A single oval object, dark grey with lighter worn patches, photographed on a grey card. A small hole is pierced near the upper edge, and a faint horizontal line crosses the upper part of the face. The surface is soft and blurred, so the detail of any design is hard to make out.
