Glyptic (i.731)

Stone scarab seen from above, its back divided by a cross-shaped line — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C05595d. Public domain (CC0).

Description

An oval, dark object with pale mottled patches, photographed from above on a plain grey card. A raised line runs across the middle of the back and a second line crosses it vertically, dividing the surface into quarters. The surface looks worn and pitted, and the print shows some scratches near its edges.
