Round pottery vessel with a tall strap handle and a wide spout, decorated with large painted figures in dark paint — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C05423b. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A round-bodied pottery vessel is seen from the front, with a tall strap handle rising to a short, wide spout whose opening faces the camera. Large figures are painted in dark paint, with dotted and curved details, on a lighter ground, and the surface is worn and flaking, especially around the handle and spout. The vessel stands on a pale surface, and the print is mounted on a card with handwritten notes along the bottom edge.
