Hellenistic roman Mersinaki Terracotta limestone

Description

A carved human head shown from the front against a plain grey background, with short curled hair over the forehead, heavy-lidded eyes, a small mouth and prominent ears. The neck ends in a broken edge, and a thin dark rod at the bottom of the frame supports the head. The pale surface is pitted and worn in places, especially on the cheek and chin.
