Description, scan 2
A photo mount with two images of a scarab from Amathus. The upper photograph shows the oval, beetle-shaped back, with a central ridge dividing it into halves, a speckled surface and faint blue lines. The lower image is an impression of the flat engraved base on white card, showing an oval outline around a worn design of figure-like shapes that is hard to read.
Description, scan 3
An oval seal impression sits on a rectangular pale block set against a grey mount, with a raised rim running around the oval. Inside it, a four-legged animal with a long tail is shown in profile, with a second, fainter motif partly visible above its back. The impression is soft and slightly blurred, with a few dark spots near the top edge.
