Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04700. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A sculpted human head in right profile, photographed against a plain pale background. Wavy locks of hair sweep back from the brow over the top of the head, and the back and top of the skull have rough, broken edges. The eyes, nose and lips are worn, and the surface is pitted and mottled with dark patches; the neck runs off the lower edge of the frame.
