Description

A carved marble head and upper neck, turned slightly to the viewer's left, stands against a dark backdrop. The hair is arranged in rows of rounded, drilled locks over the crown and ear, with wavy strands across the brow, and the nose is chipped while the surface is weathered. The print is mounted on a pale card with a small label and handwriting along the bottom edge, and thin white retouching lines trace the outline.
