Stone sculpture from Soli, So. 536 C.M.

Stone sculpture fragment from Soli, porous grey stone with carved relief, photographed on a white cloth — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04210. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A large fragment of porous grey stone, elongated and bent at an angle, shown on a white cloth against a pale backdrop. Carved shapes stand out on its surface: a cluster of layered ridges near the upper left and a curved, rounded relief toward the lower right. The broken edges and pitted surface show the stone's wear.
