Description

A terracotta head of a female figure, with a row of curled or rolled hair across the forehead and heavy side locks falling at each side of the face. The face has a full chin and a broad nose, with the eyes and mouth modelled simply; the surface is worn and pitted, and the neck ends in a flat break. The head stands on a pale plain support below the photograph's grey backdrop.
