Enlarged photograph of a stone seal (glyptic) from Idalion, rounded shape with a dark band across the middle — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04050e. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A greyish, enlarged photograph of a small stone seal or engraved gem, shown alone on a pale mount. Its outline is rounded and rectangular, with small projections at both ends and a dark horizontal band across the centre. Surface texture and shading are visible, but the engraved design is too blurred to make out.
