Bone (I.522)

Long, rough cylindrical bone find from Idalion, photographed upright against a pale card. — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04038b. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A tall, narrow object with a pitted, greyish-white surface fills most of the frame, photographed upright on a pale grey card. Two raised ridges form a band near the top, and the lower end is also ridged and looks slightly broken. A printed code sits at the bottom edge of the mount, and no scale is visible.
