Description

A group of men and one woman in hats and light shirts stand and bend over three wooden wheelbarrows in a stony, scrubby field. Two men in suits stand near the centre-left, and a low hill rises behind bushes on the left. Digging and clearing soil is in progress across the open ground.

Description, scan 2: A group of men, boys and a young woman in a dark skirt stand, kneel and bend over in a dry, stony field, several of them beside three wheelbarrows set on the ground. Many wear hats and light shirts. Behind them a flat, sparsely vegetated plain runs to a rounded hill on the left.
