Description

A large, elongated pale stone sculpture lies on its side in a dug hollow with dark earth walls. The excavated ground in the foreground is bare and sandy, and the sculpture casts a long shadow across it. Behind the pit, a rough scrubby hillside has bushes, scattered stones and a heap of stones, with the sea faintly visible at the top right.

Description, scan 2
A large pale stone sculpture lies in a shallow excavated pit, its rough, weathered surface showing carved and chipped areas. Its shadow falls across the dry, bare floor of the cutting in the foreground. Above the pit edge, scrubby bushes and loose stones cover the ground, and a strip of sea shows at the horizon on the right.
