Description

A close view down into an excavated cut, with a steep, rough face of soil or rock running diagonally across the right side. The dark ground in the centre and left is dotted with small pale stones and pebbles, and a dark vertical pole or rod stands at the left edge. Bright patches of light fall at the top left, and no people are visible.
