Description

A pit cut into the ground at Amathus, seen from above, with its floor strewn with long bones and smaller fragments of a skeleton still in the soil. Small bowls and a few other objects lie at the upper left, near a pale rounded object and cut stone blocks against the back wall. Loose soil and rubble surround the cut edges, with a steep face on the right.
