Bronze, Mountings, Fragments (J.720)

Bronze disc with radiating ridges and a loop attached at its lower edge, from Idalion — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C01055b. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A round metal disc with raised ridges radiating from its centre lies on a pale card, and a thick ring or loop is attached at its lower edge, hanging below the disc. The surface is mottled and dark, suggesting corrosion. In the upper right corner, part of a yellowish mount shows a dark dotted pattern, probably another print or a printed fragment.
