Description

Workers dig a hillside excavation at Soli, cutting the soil into curved, stepped tiers. Several women in long dresses and headscarves and men in hats shovel and carry earth, and a metal wheelbarrow stands in the middle of the cut. A heap of spoil rises to the right, and the sea shows along the top edge of the view.
