Life and work
- 1894As the Greek Cypriot representative on the Legislative Council, asked the colonial government about the permit granted to the British Museum for its Amathus excavations; the reply was that the excavations took place with the government's knowledge and permission and the finds were to go to the British Museum. Zanettos cites the question as evidence of public indignation.
