Cypriot photographer and museum staff member, active 1983–2001. Worked at Nicosia. Worked for Department of Antiquities, Cyprus; worked with George Fafalis and Chrysilios Polykarpou.
Life and work
- 1983Thanked among the Cyprus Museum photographic section and draughtsmen for work on the Palaepaphos-Skales finds (Karageorghis's cemetery publication), which involved cleaning and mending thousands of vases in the Cyprus Museum workshops and District Museums.
- 1984Took most of the photographs in Maier & Karageorghis, Paphos: History and Archaeology (figs 232 and 236 are by A. Malekos).
- 1985Black-and-white photographs for Ancient Cypriote Art in the Pierides Foundation Museum.
- 1990Co-photographer (with George Fafalis) of The A. G. Leventis Foundation and the Cultural Heritage of Cyprus; credited with plates 20, 30, 33, 36, 43, 45.
- 2001Took all photographs (except the cover) for the catalogue Greek and Cypriote Antiquities in the Archaeological Museum of Odessa, spending several days in the museum for the purpose.
