- 1953Corresponded with Einar Gjerstad on the chronology of 'Cypriote' pottery from early Iron Age levels in Palestine (Albright 1953, as listed in the Idalion report bibliography). Palestinian archaeologists including Albright, Wright and Van Beek dated the start of the Cypro-Geometric period to about 1050/1000 BC against Gjerstad's c. 850 BC.
