Life and work
- 1906Submitted the third of three designs for the new Cyprus Museum building (after those of Edgar Feneck, 28 Aug 1906, and Theodore N. Fotiadis, 26 Nov 1906); a sub-committee chose his plan.
- 1906–1909Agreed with George Jeffery, after Jeffery's trip to Athens, that Balanos would supervise an exact copy of the portico of the Temple of Athena Nike to serve as the museum entrance, while Jeffery supervised the building in Nicosia. Building ready 1909; portico in place by May 1909.
- 1907–1918Trelat's review of Pilides (2009) says Jeffery supervised the construction of the museum building, with Balanos, from 1907 to 1918, and took part in its fitting out.
