Mr Bosch
fl. 1898
Curator, active in 1898.
Life and work
- 1898Wrote to the duc de Dino, on behalf of the Hermitage, asking whether his Cypriot silver (the first Lambousa treasure) was for sale. Dino's letter to Cosson of 25 July 1898 says he had not replied, awaiting the British Museum's firm decision; the Trustees' decision reached him the next day (26 July). Merrillees takes the enquiry as proof that by July 1898 'knowledge of its existence was sufficiently widespread' for the Hermitage to ask (p. 399).
