    Excavation at Site KB (Hadji Abdullah), Kouklia: a palatial residence, so-called 'Persian' building, and a sector of the Archaic city wall about 55 m long with three construction phases, a rectangular tower and a postern.

    Published 'Ein Perserbau in Altpaphos?', the only report of the 1952-53 excavations; interprets an impressive structure within the walls, commanding the city and the adjacent landgate, as probably the quarters of the Persian garrison (the siege-works context of the Persian siege of c. 498 BC).
