  2. 12 November 1937
Unsigned letter in the Winckelmann-Institut archive (Humboldt-Universität, Berlin), which Schmid attributes to Rodenwaldt, to the DAAD (addressed to 'Dr. Goepel', taken to be Kurt Goepel) supporting Porphyrios Dikaios, Curator of the Cyprus Museum since 1931, for an Alexander von Humboldt fellowship. It argued that 'the archaeology of Cyprus has received increased importance in the past decade', referring chiefly to the Swedish Cyprus Expedition 1927-1931. Schmid says the request seems to have been unsuccessful.
