British antiquities official and draughtsman, active in 1886. Excavated at Polis tis Chrysochou (Marion-Arsinoe). Worked with Christian and Max Ohnefalsch-Richter.
Life and work
- 25 February 1886 – August 1886Government overseer ('new inspector appointed by the government') of the Marion-Arsinoe (Polis) excavations run by Ohnefalsch-Richter at the expense of private partners (Watkins, Williamson, Christian); 441 tombs opened in Necropoleis I-III.

- 1886Ohnefalsch-Richter taught him to record observations with pen and pencil; later Foot kept the excavation diary grave by grave and the list of antiquities (Ohnefalsch-Richter still held 'Foot's diary and list of antiquities' in 1893), and made watercolour tracings of Greek vases and reconstructions such as the silver belt (Pl. XXV).
