    The department's 22nd Classical Colloquium, 'Cyprus in the nineteenth century AD: Fact, Fancy and Fiction', was held 2-4 December 1998 with the Hellenic Centre, dedicated to the memory of Olivier Masson; Williams, as Keeper, signed the preface to the 2001 volume and is thanked in it with Veronica Tatton-Brown as convenor.
