Life and work

  1. 2018
AMRICHA research (the institute's staff, Gatzsche's essay does not name the individual) found that a skyphos in the Malios collection had belonged to the Christakis Hadjiprodromou collection, looted in the 1974 invasion; once at Leipzig it was documented and condition-reported, the Department of Antiquities and the Cypriot Embassy in Berlin informed, and AMRICHA was to repatriate it.

Wrote the provenance essay 'From Cyprus to Leipzig' (with Irene Pamer, essays) in Alexander Malios Collection, Volume 1: Cypriot Antiquities, ed. Elena Poyiadji-Richter (Leipzig: AMRICHA, 2023); it surveys the collection's feeder provenances (Sandwith, the Cesnola brothers via the Metropolitan Museum and Toledo, the Lawrence-Cesnola and Pitt Rivers lines, Dozon, de Clercq, Desmond Morris's archive, Michaelides, export-permit pieces) and the practice of sending object lists and photographs to the Department of Antiquities.
