History
- 1873Printed and published "The Antiquities of Cyprus", a folio of 36 loose photographs of the Cesnola collection by Stephen Thompson (selection by C. T. Newton, introduction by Sidney Colvin), imprint "W. A. Mansell and Co., Percy Street. W., 1873". The mounts are stamped "Mansell". Sold as a set (4 pounds 4s) or as single plates (2s 2d mounted, 2s unmounted). The album had been prepared for the 1872 London exhibition of the collection, but appeared after the Metropolitan Museum had bought it.
