History

  1. March 1897
The duc de Dino acquired the first Lambousa silver treasure 'from the private collection of Mr G A Mozeras from Larnaca', according to a note by C. D. Cobham printed in Peristianes's 1910 history. Merrillees calls it entirely plausible but undocumented by a sale record that Mozeras owned the hoard; the documented chain is finder, Nikolaki, [Mozeras, unproven], Dino, British Museum (1899).
