  1. 1971–1972
    Two seasons of excavation by the Institute of Archaeology at the Late Cypriot settlement of Pamboularin (Pampoularin) tis Koukkouninas, north of Athienou village, directed by Trude Dothan and Amnon Ben-Tor. About 90% of the site was excavated to virgin soil; three Late Cypriot strata (IV-II) and sporadic Iron Age use (Stratum I).

  2. 1972
    Second season: aim to fix the stratigraphic and chronological sequence and to study installations, in particular a possible link between metalworking and large groups of votive miniature vessels; occupation put in the 16th to 12th century BC.
