History
- 1965–1997Olivier Masson is directeur d'études in Greek philology and dialectology, a post that accompanied his Cypriot work on Cypro-Minoan, the Cypriot syllabary and Eteocypriot (he also taught at Nanterre from 1972).
- 1969–1971André Dupont-Sommer's EPHE conferences on ancient Oriental history and his annual reports include items on the Kition inscriptions (1969-70, 1970-71). Sznycer's obituary lists these.
- 1969–1970Maurice Sznycer presents his first Cypriot research at the EPHE: the Kition temple accounts, 'the oldest Phoenician inscription of Cyprus'.
- 1971Maurice Sznycer becomes directeur d'études (Initiation à l'épigraphie nord-sémitique), having taken his diploma under Dupont-Sommer.
