The project
In 1883 Max Ohnefalsch-Richter excavated in the necropolis of Tremithous, which the Catalogue of the Cyprus Museum places north-west of the modern village1. He dug for the Cyprus Museum. Myres and Ohnefalsch-Richter report Hellenistic unpainted pottery from it, especially Cyprus Museum no. 1152, which carries a graffito transcribed as XAPHΣ; the piece is a Cyprus Museum object1. Hermary describes Ohnefalsch-Richter's work in the necropolis as brief2.
