Description: | Pottery White Slip II small tankard; hand-made; slightly tapering neck, round mouth; thickened flaring rim with flat top; high vertical handle from rim to shoulder; originally with ring base, now missing; decorated in dark brown paint with ladder pattern at maximum diameter and down lower body, double framed hatched running lozenges and running lozenges on neck, dotted lines on body and rim; thick pinkish white slip, worn at rim and handle.
